You may be eligible if you are:
A brother, sister, or child (or step equivalent) of an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen
Someone who has no other close family members living outside Australia
Outside Australia at the time of application and visa grant
You must not have a spouse, de facto partner, or other relatives who live outside Australia in a closer relationship to you than the relative in Australia.
To be eligible for the Subclass 115 visa, you must:
Be the remaining close relative of an eligible sponsor in Australia
Be sponsored by a parent, sibling, or step-relative who is an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen
Meet health and character requirements as per Australian immigration law
Provide proof that you have no close relatives living outside Australia
Agree to the Assurance of Support condition (provided by your sponsor)
Your Australian relative must:
Provide an Assurance of Support (AoS)—a financial commitment that you will not rely on Australian government welfare
Pay a bond, refundable after 10 years if no social security support is claimed
Show willingness and ability to support you financially upon arrival
Applicants must:
Complete medical examinations to meet Australian health standards
Provide police clearance certificates from all countries lived in for 12 months or more over the past 10 years (from age 16)
You can include:
Your spouse or de facto partner
Dependent children or stepchildren
All included applicants must meet visa requirements and be listed at the time of application.
